Have you seen this book?
It's perfect for what we teach! It teaches about creating a mural, color mixing, creativity all in a beautifully illustrated book.
These "imaginary flowers" were inspired by the garden in the book. I asked students to pretend they went to the imaginary garden and picked a bouquet of flowers for someone special. Then we painted their bouquets with tempera and when they dried added details with oil pastels.

Those are just beautiful and I will be checking the library for that book! So neat:)
It's one of the most developmentally appropriate book to teach mural painting to a first grade class! You'll love it. . . if you buy it you'll want it for years to come.
I justed added the book to my Amazon wishlist. Thanks!
OOH I've never seen this book but it looks like something I'd like. The artwork is great!
