Curb Appeal

We did two small projects to tidy up the outside of our house. On a budget of $260 plus tax, I think it was worth it.

Tiller: $50
Seed:  $120
Hay:   $35
Brick: $25
Soil:    $20
Mulch: $10
Impatients: Repotted
Sea Grass: Already there

First, we dug up our lawn which was brown and destroyed by GRUBS! I tried to go the organic route with the grubs but it obviously did not work. So I had to start using Grub Killer in the spots I find them. If you know of any organic solutions that work please do tell.

Preparing the soil for the new grass seed.

Then we reseeded, put hay on tip and watered. We did this in the fall, that's a scarecrow and cornstalks on the lightpost.

Here's how it turned out.

Here's a closer look at the lamp post which I neatened up with some brick, soil, mulch and flowers.

I can't wait till fall when I can plant mums and put pumpkins there.
