Splatter Monsters: Someone Hand Me A Tissue!

Here they are! The kids cut out their splatter paintings and tried to find a monster in them. They used black markers, yarn, paper scraps and google eyes to make their Splatter Monster Collages.

Is it obvious that I don't want school to end? We only have a few more days left of school and we're still painting and collaging away! I know most teachers are packing up, but I always have a hard time saying goodbye at the end of the year. I know I'll see some of the kids next year. Some kids I'll never see again (our bilingual program is very transient) and others I know from when they were Kindergarteners; it doesn't matter, I miss them all. Yes, I cry every year when the 5th grade graduates. This year I'll bring tissues and hide in the back. We invest a lot into these kids and it's such an awesome thing to see them grow before your eyes! Okay, enough Erica! Here are the splatter monsters. . . before I start reminiscing and getting weepy:)

                                                                                                                  Too late!

These were made by my second graders.

Oh I adore these and may have to try them. When I had my kids blow through straws before some of them got headaches and got dizzy, so I have been leery to try it again. Maybe we did not use enough runny paint. thanks for stopping by my blog. I will check in here again...
