I have not been blogging the past couple days because I've been DIYing my 1970's wallpapered hallway. Stripping wallpaper and scraping glue is not as glamourous as HGTV would you have you believe. But, I am so proud of how it is coming along! I will post the process and finished product soon.
While I'm waiting for the paint to dry on that project, I'll post the last project that I conquered. The Master Bedroom! It wasn't very functional or pretty, so I took some advice from Young House Love and made use of the long window above my bed. I created storage on both sides of the bed with two armoires hidden by curtains. Here's the Before and After. I think my version looks a lot more masculine than the Young House Love original. What do you think?

Beautiful Redo! Have you ever considered a side career? :) I have been putting a bedroom redo on my to-do list for quite some time. My 8 year old daughter (clearly a budding interior designer) is an HGTV junky; she loves Divine Design. You have really created a serene and stylish place!
Thanks Mary! Wow now I am really pumped to finish this hallway! You should have your daughter make some sketches or cut out stuff from magazines for you! That's what I used to do at 8:)
Classy and cozy! That's your painting on the wall, isn't it?
sure is my painting:) Very observant.
WOW! I love it! Way to go! You did an amazing job.
